As a scientist myself, I have extensive experience both working in the laboratory as a chemist for Pfizer and 3M Pharmaceuticals, as well as writing about science as a medical writer for 3M's drug development efforts on Imiquimod. I hold several patents in the area of immune response modifiers (IRMs) and have helped 3M achieve licensing of Aldara(TM) for several dermatology applications through my medical writing efforts.
I have worked with clients worldwide, making effective use of a variety of communication tools and good old fashioned customer service.
I have served several terms as the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) North Central Chapter secretary/treasurer and have also served on the AMWA Journal editorial board.

I am a member of several professional organizations that promote medical writing excellence, including AMWA and The International Publication Planning Association.
